THE SKILL SET
- thread a sewing machine and wind a bobbin
- follow step by step instructions
- stitch around curves and corners with a sewing machine
- stitch 1/4″ seams
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
The PLUSH LIFE® projects were intended to be made with a sewing machine. If you are a beginner, most sewing skills you need to learn can be found on YouTube. With a little practice you are ready to go!
I do have a friend who is going to sew the entire bear by hand using the back stitch! I will let you know about the outcome
EQUIPMENT
- Sewing machine
- iron
TOOLS AND NOTIONS
- 8” sheers
- Clipping scissors, seam ripper
- bobbins
- pins, pincushion, sewing needles (sharps)
- matching thread
- sewing machine needles, for knits and universal 80
PROJECT SUPPLIES
Each project requires one or two specific supplies, that are listed on the guide sheet and the cut&sew panel itself.
The bears require about 7 oz of stuffing. Poly-fil, fiberfill are some acceptable brands of stuffing you will encounter. It’s best to purchase a 12 oz bag. The leftover stuffing will be for further projects.
