Sometimes a small piece of information goes a long way!
The other day my niece called requesting some tips on how to make a holiday stocking. I just suggested that she draw out the shape and size she wanted, then sketch an additional 5/8” all around (for 1/2” seams). She ran with that little tidbit of information and whipped up this adorable stocking. She used fleece for lining which gave the stocking a nice weight. Bravo Stephanie!
TIP: If sewing is new to you, and this looks easy enough to try, it’s important to clip into seam allowance at curves and corners so the shape will lie smooth when turned.
