While anyone has their supplies cut at the sewing store the associates at the cutting counter almost always ask: “what are you making?” So I always ask: “what do you see everyone making?” On my last visit to the store, the sales associate said she was seeing infinity scarves as a popular sewing project these days. On that same trip I spotted a new fleece: double sided micro fleece. Love it! (And coincidentally a great fabric for an infinity scarf, thus inspiration for this post.)
Because we still have some chilly winter weather ahead, there’s good reason to make and wear a super easy cuddly fleece infinity scarf! The following how-to is a real breeze.
Get ready: All you need is 6″ (1/6 yard) of fleece. Use the full width (60″).
CUTTING TIP: Using dressmaker shears, cut with full cutting strokes for the smoothest continuous edge. Short cutting motions will make a choppy cut edge.
Stitch ends together:
Infinity scarves are a great year round fashion accent. When shopping for scarf fabric, look for a fabric that looks acceptable on both sides. A fabric with a no sew edge makes for a super instant scarf. A fabric with soft drape is a must! Happy hunting!
