Does it drive you batty when you look over your wardrobe and find a piece you loved last year seems somewhat out of fashion? I especially find this issue with collars and skirt lengths!
When something is too long or too big, sometimes a little tweak can be an easy solution. The photo below shows a before and after photo of a collar refashioned with lace trim. I chose white on white, but a colorful appliqué trim could be an alternative.
To refashion a collar, decide the collar size and trim placement. Stitch along the new shape, then cut off the excess collar. Securely hand or machine stitch the trim in place, hiding the cut edges.
