Twinkle, twinkle for parties and holidays

1555Summer is around the corner and even though winter seems remote, us crafters often have some holiday project ideas brewing. When crafting for the upcoming holidays, whether it be gifts or decoration, an early start helps us enjoy the creative process without a short timeline looming. With that said, here’s a Simplicity pattern to inspire holiday decor and gifting!

Fairy lights glow within the semi transparent trees.

The original source of inspiration for this holiday pack were battery operated fairy string lights. These adorable tiny string lights add a heart warming accent to any holiday or party setting. Must have many!

In this pattern, fluffy tulle swags and ruffled trees accommodate string lights. The pastel color palette was inspired by vintage ornaments (Shiney Brites: my forever faves!). If a more traditional green and red is to your liking, that would be wonderful too. Tulle comes in so many colors, other options can be explored as well.

Shiney Brite ornaments inspired this color combination.

Medallion ornaments made of  trims and beads, add luxe detail to a swag or a tree.

Work in progress: ready to be decorated. Create height variations with candlesticks and stacked books.

The small sheer tree in this pattern pack fits over a wine glass as a mini shade. Drop a tea light inside, and the wine glass becomes a glowing place setting.
